Training slap
August 22, 2006 | 2:11 pmA way to train your arm muscles for better slapping is to grab an ordinary drumstick in the middle with your hand (palm) and do the typical slap movement with your arm and wrist in the air. Position the arm like you normally do when you are slapping, but with no bass. The stick will be like an extended thumb. The added weight through the drumstick will help your muscles to build more quickly. But, as always, start with a few minutes at a time. To much and you will get pain.
